Welcome from the Chairs
Dear friends and colleagues!
It is our great pleasure to welcome you all to the 14th I-BFM Biennial Childhood Leukemia and Lymphoma Symposium (CLLS). We are very glad to have our traditional and unique meeting hosted in the marvelous city of Budapest, Hungary.
Since its beginning, we thought to have the CLLS as an important opportunity for fellows, researchers and junior faculty to report and highlight novel basic and clinical information on malignant hematological malignancies. The keynote topics of this conference are translational research in acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL), non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma (NHL) and myeloid disorders, supportive care, leukemogenesis, host genome variants/predisposition, and therapy and outcome of leukemia and lymphoma, amongst others. Thus, we are looking forward to continue on our successful path towards cure for all children and adolescents with leukemia & lymphoma.
As always, we want to keep the unique “I-BFM and CLLS atmosphere”, which has been developed in the last 42 years on the idea of building networks across borders by being inclusive and promote cooperative research projects or even establishing new personal friendships and interactions.
The CLLS will be followed by the 35th I-BFM Annual Meeting embedded in the SIOP Europe Annual Meeting to strengthen the voice and visibility of Paediatric Oncology in Europe.
We thank the I-BFM Committee Chairs for their support in making the CLLS possible, all contributors for their scientific and time input and their willingness to share novel ideas and concepts and unpublished data. We are looking forward to meet you all in Budapest!
Enjoy the meeting!
